On Tuesday 30^th April we were lucky enough to have Kath Tetley attend a special training session and give our coaches some tips and techniques on defence. Kath has had an extensive and successful coaching career at State, District and Association levels and in 2010 she was named Coach of the Year at State level. It was evident that she has a real passion for netball, and an amazing ability to communicate with both players and coaches and a genuine interest in netball development at a grass roots level. We truly appreciate her time and effort

On the night we had the 10A’s help out with the skills/drills and they worked on things such as moving back to 3 feet before raising hands, how to defend the player with the ball using their “angry hands” and some techniques on defending a shot at goal to name a few. Thanks to the 10A’s and Paul Kennedy for being actively involved in the session.

It was good to see some of the coaches using these drills on Wednesday night at training and we hope both coaches and players benefit from this. The Development Program is aimed at improving the skills of both coaches and players and we plan on holding further clinics like Shooting, Center Court and Set Plays. Stay tuned!

The Rams Committee would like to thank all the families that purchased raffle tickets which helped us raise some much needed funds. Congratulations to Lisa from Team 39 who won a nights accommodation at the Crowne Plaza Norwest for 2 including breakfast. We hope you have a great night.

Last but not least I would like to thank Michelle Hunter for her amazing effort in coordinating these events. Great work Michelle, your efforts are appreciated!

The remaining stock will be sold on a first in, first served basis. Unfortunately due to minimum order requirements we wont be taking any orders until Rego/Presentation Day for next season so be quick because once these are gone that’s it for this year

Welcome to the start of the 2013 netball season. It has been great to see so many smiling faces around the training courts over the past few weeks. I would like to extend a special warm welcome to all the new families that have joined the Rams this season and welcome back to those who have proudly represented us previously. This year we have grown to a record 40 teams and would like to thank the various Coaches, Managers and Committee who all contribute so much to make it possible.

COMPETITION – Our first week of competition starts on Saturday April 6th at the Wellgate Ave Courts, Kellyville. The first games are at 8am. The official draw has been published on the BHSNA website and if you click on the “DRAW” link (located in the grey box just to the right of this post) it will take you to the Baulkham Hills website and display all age groups from under 7′s through to Seniors. Simply click on the “draw/results” tab for your grade and it will display the draw, time and court number.

As you may have noticed, there are major development works taking place at what was the rear entrance on Withers Rd and as such this entrance/exit has been closed. With only one main entry and exit on Wellgate Ave, we are expecting major delays to and from the courts all day. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO GET TO YOUR GAME ON TIME.  I know the ladies at BHSNA are in constant communication with the council to ensure this is rectified as soon as possible and we will do our best to keep you updated

WET WEATHER – In the event of wet weather on game day, please check the Rams Netball Website or Facebook page for updates and notices. It is at the discretion of the coach to cancel training due to bad weather so please check with them on training days.
